Human Intelligence Amplified and Released.
AI should not replace human intelligence. It should amplify it and release it to do what only humans can do. Empathy. Judgement. Trust. The things that make employees, customers and users want to come back tomorrow.
The organizations that get this right will not just perform better. They will be worth working for. Worth building with. Worth buying from. Worth staying for.
Human Intelligence Amplified and Released. The belief that AI should amplify what humans do best and release human capability to do what no system can replicate.
The point at which AI stops and human judgement begins. Every organization has one. Most don't know where it is. Finding it, mapping it, and protecting it is the diagnostic core of EPG's work.
Empathy. Compassion. Judgement. Trust. These aren't soft skills — they're power skills. Strategic assets. Organizations that invest in them aren't being idealistic. They're building competitive advantage.
Three services. One through line.
Each one answers a different dimension of the same question: Is your organization genuinely ready for AI?
AI Readiness
& Governance
"We make the boundary between AI and human judgment explicit and operationalize it through responsible governance."
Most organizations are deploying AI faster than they understand its implications. They invest in tools without clarity on where AI should be used, where it shouldn't, and where human judgment must remain in control. The result is fragmented adoption, hidden risk, and missed value.
EPG works with leadership teams to establish a clear, enterprise-wide understanding of how AI is being used, especially in people-related decisions. We map where the Automation Ceiling™ sits, surface governance gaps and legal exposure, and define the boundaries between automation and judgement. From there, we design and implement the governance architecture to deploy AI responsibly, ensuring decisions are accountable, risks are managed and trust is preserved.
This is the work that must happen before AI can deliver what it promises.
HR Transformation
for the AI Era
"We transform the people function into the system that turns AI strategy into organizational performance."
AI is not just changing how HR works. It is redefining what HR is responsible for including how talent is assessed, how decisions are made, how trust is maintained and how organizations operate at scale.
EPG works with leadership teams to rethink the people function end-to-end across talent acquisition, employment brand, workforce strategy, culture design, and decision-making frameworks. We identify where legacy assumptions break down, where new risks emerge, and where new capabilities must be built.
This is not change management. It is the redesign of HR as a system built to operate in an AI-integrated organization.
Leadership Evaluation
& Readiness
"We prepare your leaders to turn AI into results, while strengthening what makes leadership human."
AI is raising the standard for leadership faster than most teams can adapt. It is not just a technology shift. It's a decision-making shift.
EPG works directly with senior executives to prepare the leadership team for what leading in an AI-integrated organization actually requires. We build the capability, judgement and operating discipline needed to make decisions under AI pressure: clarifying how risk is understood and how leaders balance automation with the protection of trust, culture and long-term value.
This is not a personality profile. It equips your leadership team with the skill to realize the full value of AI with clarity and control.
"The organizations that will define the next decade are not those with the most AI. They are those with the most capable, psychologically grounded, and inclusively structured humans working alongside it."
Elevated Performance Group
The Framework
You can't out agent an agent.
You can't out robot a robot.
That's a losing game. We win by being human.
Every EPG engagement begins the same way. With a question, not a solution. We arrive with a disciplined diagnostic process that finds where the gap lives between your AI investment and your organizational readiness, between your leadership capability and what your strategy demands and between your HR function and what the AI era requires of it.
Two operating systems.
One integrated strategy.
Organizations run people and technology systems. When they aren't aligned, performance breaks down. That's where EPG comes in.
Structures, norms, cultures, and leadership practices that govern how employees think, decide, relate, and perform. Talent architecture. Psychological safety. Inclusion infrastructure. Leadership capability. These are not soft skills. They are the primary determinants of whether your technology investment converts to performance.
Enterprise-wide systems governing how work gets executed, scaled, and measured. Not IT in isolation. Supply chain, finance, HR systems, operations, invoicing, and increasingly, AI-driven workflows across every function. The system that enables automation, right up to the point where judgement takes over.
What elevated human performance requires.
Not four separate disciplines. One integrated system. Pull on any one of them and you find the other three.Automation scales until complexity demands human judgement.
That threshold is the Automation Ceiling™. That threshold is where EPG operates.
Finding the Automation Ceiling™
Every EPG engagement starts with mapping the Automation Ceiling™, the point in your organization where AI's capability ends and human judgement takes over.
Where AI is currently used in people decisions: hiring, performance, succession, culture and governance.
Where the ceiling is too low (human judgement is being wasted on work AI should do) and where it is too high (AI is being trusted with decisions that require human oversight).
The specific gaps in governance, talent capability, and leadership readiness that explain why AI investment is underperforming.
The framework, architecture, and human conditions required to close each gap — sequenced for the organization's current state and strategic timeline.
A discipline, not a model.
HIAR™ — Human Intelligence Amplified and Released — brings focus to the four questions that determine how organizations will perform in an AI era.
Where is AI being used in ways that reduce human judgement rather than amplify it?
Where does the Automation Ceiling™ sit and is it in the right place?
What governance, talent, and leadership conditions are required to move the ceiling intentionally?
What is the Human Premium and how is it being safeguarded?
Five steps. No surprises.
Every EPG engagement begins with a conversation, not a pitch.
A focused diagnostic conversation with the CEO or CHRO to understand where the organization is and what it is asking of its people and its AI investments.
A structured assessment of AI governance, HR capability, or leadership readiness, depending on the entry point.
A clear diagnostic output: what the gap is, where it lives, and what closing it requires.
A sequenced engagement plan designed for the organization's size, sector, and timeline.
Delivery. Not a report on a shelf. Work that changes how the organization thinks and what it is capable of.
"The organizations that perform at the highest level and sustain it are led by people who hold a conviction that their employees are their greatest asset. Not as a phrase on a values poster. As a lived conviction."
Who We Work With
EPG works with leaders who are
still asking Frank's question.
The CEOs who stay a few minutes longer at the end of the day. The CHROs who know there is a gap between what their organization is and what it can become. The boards who sense that their AI investment is not delivering and are starting to ask why.
Built for organizations that share one conviction.
EPG works best with organizations that believe people are the most extraordinary thing an organization will ever build and that AI should serve that conviction, not replace it.
Organizations at any stage — from scaling companies preparing for Series B/C to established enterprises where talent strategy, governance, and AI adoption are critical to growth and value creation.
Financial services, technology, healthcare, professional services, not-for-profit, telecommunications, public sector.
Organizations at an inflection point: AI adoption, rapid scaling, leadership transition, culture reset, HR transformation, or governance evolution.
Executives who recognize the gap is human, not technical. Leaders who are ready to address it with focus, discipline, and intent.
Where EPG creates the most immediate value.
The AI-Investing Organization
Has deployed AI tools across HR or operations and is not seeing the return. Understands intuitively that the problem is not the technology. Has not yet named what the real gap is. Needs a diagnostic, not another platform.
The HR Function in Transition
A CHRO who knows the function needs to evolve for the AI era but is not sure where to start. Talent acquisition, employment brand, and workforce planning all need to be rethought. Needs a strategic partner who has done this at scale.
The Leadership Team Under Pressure
A board or CEO who senses that the leadership team is not equipped for what the organization is asking of them. Needs an assessment that evaluates judgement, character, and the ability to lead through AI-era complexity.
The Purpose-Driven Organization
A not-for-profit, foundation, or social enterprise navigating the same AI pressures as the private sector — with fewer resources and higher stakes for the communities it serves. EPG brings enterprise-scale thinking to mission-driven contexts.
What remains irreplaceable when everything else is automated.
The organizations that will hire better, build stronger teams, and sustain higher performance are those who know exactly where their human judgement is the irreplaceable variable — and who protect it with the same discipline they apply to every other competitive advantage.
How we think
Bringing insight, nuance, and judgement AI can't replace.
How we relate
Building trust, connection, and emotional understanding.
How we decide
Guided by values, accountability, and conscience.
of the skills employers seek today appear in both automatable and non-automatable work. Human capability is not being made obsolete. It is being made scarce.

The Founding Moment
People are the most extraordinary thing
an organization will ever build.
Paul Anthony Hamilton
CEO & Founder
The greatest organizations are built by leaders who genuinely care.
Early in my career, during my first week at a new company, I found myself sitting alone in the cafeteria eating my lunch. A man noticed and asked if he could join me. We talked casually as he asked who I was, how long I'd been there, what I was hired to do. I mentioned it was day four and that I had been brought in to lead talent acquisition for Canada. He smiled, told me it was an important role, wished me well, and then stood up to leave. Before walking away, he simply said, "Welcome to Microsoft."
A few days later, I learned that the man who had joined me so casually was Frank Clegg, then President of Microsoft Canada. He had joined a stranger eating alone in a cafeteria because that was who he was.
I went on to build a strong working relationship with Frank over the years and witnessed firsthand what real leadership looks like. Not from presentations or strategy decks — but in his everyday behaviour. He embodied it.
One evening while reviewing our people strategy in his office, he went over to his window and looked out at the parking lot. Without turning around, he said: “Every day as I watch our employees drive away I always have one thought: Did I do enough for my people today for them to want to come back tomorrow?” That moment is where Elevated Performance Group began to take shape.
Here we were at Microsoft, then the world's most valued company, and yet the question that mattered most to its Canadian President at the end of the day had nothing to do with software, margins, or market share.
It was about people. His people and whether they felt he created a working environment worth coming in for and whether they'd choose to return.
Because of his leadership, we did. Gladly. Many days after that.
"Paul's leadership at the intersection of talent, performance and AI is helping shape how organizations think about their people and their future. I'm always grateful for Paul's perspective and the way he brings both strategic insight and a deep focus on people to these conversations."
Six guiding principles behind every EPG engagement.
People are the most extraordinary thing an organization will ever build.
Performance is not demanded. It is designed.
Psychology is not a soft skill. It is the operating system of commitment.
AI should amplify human intelligence, not replace it.
Inclusion is not values work. It is performance infrastructure.
Automation scales. Judgement decides.
Different industries. Different scale. One common challenge.

For the leaders who still ask the hard question.
EPG exists to carry forward the legacy that leaders like Frank Clegg built. For the Chief People and Culture Officers who know there is a gap between what their organization is and what it is capable of becoming. For the CEOs who stay a few minutes longer, asking themselves the hard question.
EPG exists to help today's leaders navigate change without losing their humanity — and to ensure that progress never comes at the cost of the people who make it possible.
"Did we do enough for our people today to want to come back tomorrow?"
If that question resonates, the conversation has already started.
Speaking Engagements
Conversations that change
how leaders think.
Grounded in 25 years of practice inside Canada's most complex organizations — not theory. Every session is built to leave leaders with greater clarity on what AI is changing, and what they must do differently as a result.
Every talk is built around one question.
Paul Anthony Hamilton
CEO & Founder
Paul Anthony Hamilton speaks to executive leadership teams, boards, HR and at industry conferences from the perspective of someone who has spent his career inside the decisions, not just observing them. He has sat at the table when strategy breaks, when talent decisions carry real consequence, and when leaders are forced to choose between speed, risk, and judgement. He was in the arena at KPMG, Microsoft, BMO, Rogers, Korn Ferry, and OpenText. At each organization, he didn't study what good leadership looked like. He practised it, built it, and watched what happened when it was missing.
His sessions don't just inform. They challenge, clarify, and equip leaders to act with greater precision on what matters most because he has lived the pressure they're navigating, and knows exactly where the gaps live.
And at every one of those organizations, the same truth kept surfacing. The leaders who built something worth staying for — worth working for, worth buying from, worth building with — weren't the ones who moved fastest on technology. They were the ones who never stopped asking Frank Clegg's question. That conviction is the foundation of everything EPG teaches, advises, and builds around: that human intelligence should be amplified and released, that every organization has a ceiling where AI must give way to human judgement, and that the qualities no system can replicate — empathy, trust, conscience — are not liabilities in the AI era. They are the advantage.
A speaker who has sat at the table at KPMG, Microsoft, BMO, Rogers, and Korn Ferry. A leader who speaks from experience, not theory. Audiences leave with clarity on the questions they need to be asking and the gaps they can no longer afford to ignore.
Paul does not offer easy answers. He offers the honest framing of hard problems and the organizational conditions required to solve them. His style is direct, warm, and grounded in two decades of what actually works inside complex organizations.
